Tobi, a native of Indianapolis, first became addicted to music as a small girl while listening to Jackson 5 records on her Mickey Mouse record player as she roller-skated in the basement for hours on end.

During college, she found a way to satiate her love for discovering new music and her gift for gab at Depauw University's radio station, WGRE, where she went from on-air talent to news and production directors.

From the cornfields of Dekalb, Illinois, to the freeways of Los Angeles, CA, Tobi station-hopped from news and talk to modern rock before landing at XM Satellite Radio. As "Dean of Music" at XMU - XM 43, Tobi has the awesome and overwhelming job of selecting and playing albums from the independent artists she loves.
